Trap is a hip-hop subgender music in the United States.

It evolves from southern hip-hop, and it's typically bleak and ominously lyric, according to Wikipedia. It is defined by the use of certain drums and synthesizers, and the songs speak with the difficulty of living in the environment in which these artists grew up.
