Bodybuilding Grandma shares how she stays in shape

The 75-year-old retired grandma makes impressive progress in the fitness world. The woman takes bodybuilding contests at a late age and is now Australia's oldest bodybuilder. With good nutrition and rigorous training, she has developed a rather torn body that you will not believe!

On road

Janice Lorraine from Granville, Sydney, began bodybuilding at the age of 55. At that time she had just retired and wanted to occupy herself. She also saw an elderly woman struggling to walk and decided she did not want to end up like this. She started going to the gym and started weight training. She also decided that she would become a natural bodybuilder, but the goal would require a lot of work.

Although she took on bodybuilding later in life, Janice quickly proved that she was a force to be reckoned with. During the first 15 months of her journey, her grandmother trained intensively before attending her first competition in 1999. Since then she has participated in many competitions and won incredible 23 titles! However, their success is partly due to their discipline in the kitchen.

Food was clean

Janice stays on a strict diet, whether she plans to compete or not. Her diet plan consists of what she calls "natural naked food," or food without spices or sauces. Janice stays completely away from processed foods and decides instead for salads, grilled chicken, fish or steaks. A special treat could be a small biscuit or square of sugar-free chocolate, along with a glass of wine in the evening. In addition to a regulated diet, Janice also has a consistent and hard workout routine to keep her body fit.

It works

This tough bodybuilder works six times a week. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays she drives to the gym to train the train and keep her muscles in shape. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays she makes a five-mile walk and adds pushups, leg raises and other arm and stomach exercises. Needless to say, Janice does not get her age in shape if she stays in shape!

Age is not nothing but a number

Janice wants to continue until the end of 2019, when she is 77. But she does not want to stop shaping her body and stay fit, "I will continue until I no longer want to, I want to make a statement," she admitted in an interview. "I try to change people's perception of what a 70-year-old should be." Keep it up, Janice!
