It's hard not to say no to a cute puppeteer's face, especially if it looks exactly like your own! Bethany Coleman was an enthusiastic mother and lived happily with her boyfriend and three pets in Boston. While Coleman had no intention of adding another mutt, fate and the farmer's market had something to offer …
No more animals
Bethany Coleman and her friend were already the parents of three fur babies, one dog and two cats. While her friend had suggested adopting another puppy in the past, Coleman was firmly in position to keep it by three.
"I was like, 'no'," says Coleman, "I kept saying that nobody in their mind would rent a place for two people, two cats and two dogs." Oh, how did the tables turn?
Well, Coleman might have thought there'd be a family of five, but she was completely wrong. When she went for a walk at the local farmers' market, her dog Rogue found her twin.
The shelter had dogs displayed and approved, and Rogue's other half caught their attention. Coleman remembers calling her friend and shouting, "I found a dog I want to save."
Part of the family
Both Rogue and Coleman were thrilled. Coleman claimed that dog "Looks like Rogue, the same size (at that time), the same coat … they're both Cairn mixes." The new addition to the family, now called Beast, fits perfectly into the "long lost siblings"From rogue.
Coleman suggests that Rogue's brain and energy are perfectly complemented by Beast's lumbering nature. She explains that they both behave like a true brother and sister duo, arguing about toys, cuddling and being completely inseparable.
