You wake up one morning on vacation to see huge bubbles forming over the otherwise calm waters of your British Columbia resort. Some may panic, others may sit back and see what lurks beneath the surface. These spectators grabbed their cell phones and picked up everything.
What is The Commotion?
The guests of the Great Bear Lodge in British Columbia, Canada, were awakened one morning by a riot at the harbor. The beautiful bay in the Canadian rainforest that surrounds the lodge leads into the Pacific Ocean. The normally calm and serene water suddenly began to buzz and bubble on the surface.
A quick-thinking person grabbed her cell phone to pick up what was coming out.

Due to the size of the waves, the guests knew that something big was swimming below the surface. They were shocked to see two humpback whales swimming near the shore. The couple came to the surface and began to spray water from their voids. Being close to such beautiful and majestic creatures is a unique experience that these guests will never forget.
Even the hotel staff were shocked to see the whales so close to their docks.
What they did there
Staff of the Great Bear Lodge reported that the whales were at one Bubble mesh feeding, Bubble Net Feeding is a learned behavior where whales launch bubble nets to feed on a school of fish swarming. Fish such as krill, herring and salmon are common prey animals. It is known that humpback whales are fed in pairs or in groups of up to 60 or more animals.
